Join our small group for an adventurous trip from Gibraltar to Marrakech travelling overland via Asilah, Tetoan, Chefchaouen. Fez, Todra Gorge Quarzazate and Marrakech. This is mainly a travelling tour taking in the beautiful Moroccan countryside at the best time of year, spring.

Flying to Gibraltar, we take the ferry to Tangier and on by taxi to Asilah, a small artistic town on the Atlantic coast, where we will stay for 2 nights to relax and to absorb the way of life before travelling by hired car to Chefchaouen, a beautiful little village in the Rif mountains stopping at Tetoan for lunch on the way. Next day we head south by a fabulous country road to FEZ, the craft centre of Morocco where we stay 2 nights.

The medina is a fascinating warren of artisans and craft shops with whole streets taken over for dying wool, woodcarving or by tinsmiths for instance all using techniques unchanged for centuries in a medieval setting. Not to be missed.

From Fez we head over the Middle Atlas to Erachedia and the spectacular Gorge du Todra, stopping for 1 night before continuing to Quarzazate and then over the High Atlas to Marrakech.

This a fabulous trip that I have done a few times before when I was a travel guide in Morocco and also when just on holiday. It takes in a lot of the different aspects of Morocco, coast, mountains, desert, and town at the best time of year.

My estimate is around 800 including flights, accomodation, meals and car hire.
